So what’s the first step towards building a NewRich Lifestyle?

Well - everyone’s journey is always different.

For me it began with:

Pillar 1

Becoming financially independent.

I believe that the best way to achieve financial freedom in the 21st century is by creating an online business - one that speaks to you and your interests.

As the internet began to offer more opportunities to more efficiently trade time for mobility and money – I saw the opportunity of building a lean internet business as the best way to start pushing my life in the direction I wanted to go.

I wanted my online business to satisfy these things.

Easy to start with minimal financial investment.

Be able to run it from anywhere in the world.

Have it work in a way that earned me the highest possible hourly wage (efficiently trading time for money).

Mostly Automated.

Be based on something I COULD BE OR EVEN LEARN TO BE passionate about.

Good for the world.

High enough earning potential to live the life I wanted.

Where did I start?

I became fascinated with the world of drop-shipping supplements online because of the Tim Ferriss Book “The 4 Hour Work Week” – where he explained that he was able to live this New Rich Lifestyle and finance it by running this kind of business online.

I became so obsessed and filled with curated knowledge about the concept that I ended up creating a digital product (e-book) to teach people who were willing to pay for all of this knowledge in one place.

From there, I learned about how to market this digital product by building online sales funnels, and by learning how to promote my product with affiliates and other forms of paid advertising online through Facebook and Google.

I turned that business into a million dollar/year business (way more than I had initially aimed for which was $10K Monthly) – and I got so good at doing it that I only had to spend about 15 hours a week on it.

Everyone has to start somewhere – and everything is connected.

I was happy even making a small fraction of what I earn today – as long as it meant being able to live my life on my own terms.

In the very beginning, I didn’t have any product or service to build an online business around.  So I became knowledgeable enough on something that people were willing to pay me a little bit to teach to them.

I CREATED an opportunity out of thin air. I found within myself the courage to create.  Just like every album you’ve ever listened to in your life – it was created out of nothing – no matter how good it was.

Health:
Physical, Mental, Spiritual, Emotional.

It’s all connected here too.

Your health is the most important and often the most under-looked component of your life. What most people don’t realize though is that your overall health consists of at least 4 different types of health.

Your physical health (body)
Your emotional health (heart)
Your mental health (mind)
Your spiritual health (soul)

Part of living the NewRich lifestyle means not just getting in touch with all of these aspects of your health – but also prioritizing them over anything else.

What you eat

Taking the time to (mostly) cook your own food, and developing a heightened sense of awareness of what is going into your food and then into your body is critical in order to live a NewRich Lifestyle. It’s vital that you feel good – especially when feeling good is something that is in your control.

Movement

It starts with blocking out time to exercise. And then it evolves into developing a healthy active lifestyle and finding what activities are the most enjoyable for you and your body.

How you think

A very powerful but very misunderstood component of your mental health is your diet. A healthy active lifestyle that combines a balanced diet and exercise regimen will have tremendously positive effects on your mental health.

A healthy information diet

That is – choosing what to pay attention to and who to listen to will also do wonders for your mental health. It starts with little things like removing notifications from your phone and blocking social media feeds. By restoring your ability to think for yourself rather than listening to the media – you will begin to feel alive again.

Making Time For Joy

For far too long people have been too focused on what they believe to be their never-ending responsibilities to the world. If you drift too far from what brings joy to your life – you become miserable. When you are miserable, your usefulness to yourself and to the world is reduced.

Connecting to the Earth

Sounds like hipster talk – but it’s true. You’re part of the earth. When you do things that bring you closer to nature – like going through the woods, or doing yoga, making art – you feel better. You connect with yourself – your soul – by connecting with the earth. When you take the time to exist temporarily without man-made obstacles, constructs, machines, and computers – you reconnect with your soul – and you re-energize your life.

Connecting to Others

Being able to look after your emotional health by learning how to remove emotional blocks and past experiences that don’t serve you – will allow you to form better connections to others. Breaking down walls and learning how to establish proper boundaries will do wonders for your emotional health.

Relationships

The Relationship With Yourself

The most important relationship you will ever have is the relationship with yourself. Call it what you want – taboo, enlightenment, self-love – it’s all the same.

To fully learn The golden rule of “treat others the way you’d like to be treated” – you must first figure out how you would like to treat yourself. You must first learn to become your own best friend.

Once you understand that- everything improves. If you value yourself, you will find it easier to value others. If you understand yourself, you will find it easier to understand others. Call it the #MeFirst approach. Learn to help yourself, then you can help others.

Relationships with your Family

Whoever your family may be – whether you share the same blood or not – it’s important to have people that you view like family – even if they aren’t 100% who you would like them to be.  When you improve the relationship with yourself, you will improve the relationships with your family. It’s complicated and it takes time- but it works.

Relationships with your Friends

Maybe you haven’t been the best friend that you could be. Maybe you have good friends in your life– or maybe you’ve had nothing but bus-stop friends. When you decide to commit to your own happiness and your own freedom- you will develop more time and appreciation for others. You will find it easier to find time for them when they need you most. And most importantly – you’ll find it easier to develop empathy, connection and boundaries for your friends.

Relationships with your Lover – Or Lovers

Oftentimes the relationship with your significant other/others is one of the more challenging ones to face. Although I don’t claim to be a relationship expert – I do know that focusing on your own independence and happiness first- figuring out who you are and sorting yourself out – will have the most profound impact on your romantic relationships.

Relationships with your Colleagues

Whether you run a business or still work a 9-5 – having good relationships with the people you work with can make a huge difference in your life. We spend 30% of our day working – so building good relationships with the people you work with will greatly improve the quality of your life. And it will help to enrich you in many ways – socially, emotionally and financially.

Even if you don’t run your own online business – the best way to climb the corporate ladder is to make the people around you like you ;)

Communication

The Key to better relationships across the board.

First you learn how to communicate your feelings to yourself. You take the time to really learn about who you are, what you need, what you like and what you do not like.  When you learn how to “talk to yourself” (as crazy as it sounds) – you are effectively learning how to communicate better.  And if you can communicate better with yourself, then you can communicate better with the world.  We’ll teach you about that too ;)
